Dr Michelle Bonnici is a highly experienced General Practitioner with a special interest in women’s health. After qualifying in South Africa in 1984, Michelle spent a decade working in a Gynaecology and Fertility unit in a public hospital. In 1994, she moved to New Zealand and continued her work in private practice before emigrating to Australia in 2013.

Since then, Dr Michelle has worked primarily in rural and remote communities, where she has often been the sole provider of women’s health services. She is passionate about supporting women through all stages of life and takes a holistic approach to their health and wellbeing.

Dr Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Women’s Health from the University of New South Wales, along with two rural fellowships recognising her commitment and expertise in this area. She also brings three years of training in psychology and has worked across gynaecology, reproductive health, and urogynaecology.

Dr Michelle enjoys building long-term, supportive relationships with her patients and provides compassionate, comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.

Outside of work, Dr Michelle loves spending time with her children and grandchildren, exploring nature, reading, and travelling with her husband Kevin, who is also a doctor.
