Dr John Martin graduated with honours in 2018 from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He began his career in Western Australia before returning to Ireland, where he completed his postgraduate training as a GP in 2024.

He has gained broad experience across General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and rural GP settings. John has a passion for medical education and has worked as an academic tutor for undergraduate medical students. In Ireland, he also served as a team doctor for rugby and hurling teams.

In general practice, John is interested in the full scope of patient presentations, with special interests in preventative medicine and chronic disease management. He is committed to providing patient-centred, evidence-based care and believes in collaborative decision-making to empower patients in managing their health.

Outside of medicine, John enjoys sea swimming, cooking, and watching rugby.
